![]() Since it’s unknown when 5600X stock will be good, or when a cheaper non-x version will be readily available, I’m wondering if I should go with one of the following options? ![]() My i5-4690k system is in dire need of an upgrade. Hoping to purchase something in the next month, as winter is prime gaming time in Minnesota! Why I’m upgrading? My I5-4690k is a bottleneck. I'm also considering VR (Quest 2 or Reverb G2) in the next year. New parts are going into an existing NZXT S340 case with an EVGA 600B (600w 80+ Bronze) PSU. Other details: I mostly play driving and flight sims on a triple 1080p setup (5760x1080p 60hz), and some AAA titles on a separate 1440p display at 120hz. Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming only, mostly racing and flight sims. Budget (including currency): $400-$600 for CPU, Mobo, and 16 gb ram upgrades.Ĭountry: USA (Minneapolis, MN, 15 minutes from a MicroCenter)
